Mit Nikon wendet sich ein weiterer traditioneller Kamerahersteller vom chemischen Film ab. In einer Mitteilung der britischen Niederlassung steht zu lesen, dass die Produktion fast aller auf analoge Nutzung spezialisierten Produkte eingestellt werde.

Davon betroffen ist auch der unverwüstliche mechanische Klassiker FM3. Einzig die FM10 bleibt neben der Profi-Kamera F6 vorerst im Programm.
