: space9 | Erdähnlicher Planet ausserhalb des Sonnensystems entdeckt

Der Exoplanet hat nur rund fünf Mal so viel Masse wie die Erde und umkreist seinen Stern in etwa 2,5-fach größerem Abstand als unser Heimatplanet die Sonne. Er besteht vermutlich aus Gestein und Eis, wie die Astronomen im britischen Fachjournal "Nature" berichten. Da sein Stern viel schwächer strahlt als die Sonne, dürfte es auf OGLE-2005-BLG-390Lb minus 220 Grad Celsius kalt sein.

It's Far, It's Small, It's Cool: It's an Icy Exoplanet
The new planet, designated by the unglamorous identifier of OGLE-2005-BLG-390Lb, orbits a red star five times less massive than the Sun and located at a distance of about 20,000 light years, not far from the centre of our Milky Way galaxy.
